Lucky Schedule ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Lucky Schedule collects the following types of information to provide personalized cosmic energy insights:

1.1 Birthday Information (User-Provided)

• What we collect: Your birth date, including day, month, and year.
• Why we need it: To determine your Western zodiac sign and provide personalized energy readings based on astrological alignments.
• How it's stored: Locally on your device using encrypted preferences. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
• Your control: You can clear your birthday at any time in Settings → Birth Rhythm → Clear.

1.2 Calendar Data (Permission Required)

• What we access: Your device's calendar events, including event titles, times, and associated calendars.
• Why we need it: To display your scheduled events alongside cosmic energy forecasts, and to allow you to create energy-optimized events directly from the App.
• Permissions required: READ_CALENDAR and WRITE_CALENDAR (Android) or Calendar Access (iOS).
• How it's handled: Calendar data is read directly from and written to your device's native calendar. We do not copy, upload, or store your calendar data on any external server.
• Your control: You can revoke calendar permissions at any time through your device's system settings. The App will continue to function without calendar access, but calendar-related features will be disabled.

1.3 Location Information (Optional)

• What we access: Your approximate location or timezone setting.
• Why we need it: To accurately calculate Shichen (traditional Chinese time periods) based on your local time zone.
• How it's handled: We use your device's timezone setting by default. If you grant location permission, we may use your location to auto-detect the timezone. Location data is processed locally and is not transmitted to any server.
• Your control: You can manually set your timezone in Settings → Geo Location, or revoke location permissions through system settings.

1.4 App Preferences

• What we store: Your notification settings, quiet hours, smart filter preferences, selected calendars, and other app configurations.
• How it's stored: Locally on your device using Android DataStore or iOS UserDefaults.
• Your control: All preferences can be modified or reset within the App's Settings screen.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be transparent about what we do not collect:

• ❌ We do NOT collect or store your name, email address, or contact information (unless you voluntarily contact our support team).
• ❌ We do NOT upload your birthday, calendar events, or location to any server.
• ❌ We do NOT track your location history.
• ❌ We do NOT sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties.
• ❌ We do NOT use cookies or tracking technologies within the App.
• ❌ We do NOT create user profiles or accounts on our servers.

3. How We Use Information

The information collected is used solely to provide and enhance the Lucky Schedule experience:

• Personalized Readings: Your birthday is used to calculate your zodiac sign and generate personalized cosmic energy recommendations.
• Calendar Integration: Calendar access allows you to view and create events aligned with favorable energy periods.
• Accurate Timing: Location/timezone information ensures Shichen periods are calculated correctly for your time zone.
• Customized Notifications: Your preferences determine when and how you receive energy reminders.

All processing is performed locally on your device. The only network requests made by the App are:

• Fetching daily Huangli (Chinese almanac) data from our API (anonymized, no personal data transmitted).
• Processing in-app purchases through Google Play, Apple App Store, or Huawei AppGallery (handled by the respective platform).

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

All personal data is stored locally on your device:

• Android: Data is stored in the App's private storage using encrypted SharedPreferences/DataStore.
• iOS: Data is stored in the App's sandboxed storage using encrypted UserDefaults and Keychain where applicable.

4.2 No Cloud Sync

Lucky Schedule does not offer cloud backup or sync features. If you uninstall the App or switch devices, your local data (birthday, preferences) will not be automatically transferred. Calendar events remain in your device's native calendar app.

4.3 API Security

When fetching Huangli data, our API requests contain only:

• The date being queried (e.g., "2026-01-16")
• A standard user-agent string (device type and app version)

No personal identifiers are included in API requests.

5. Third-Party Services

Lucky Schedule integrates with the following third-party services:

5.1 App Distribution Platforms

• Google Play Store: Handles app distribution and in-app purchases for Android.
• Apple App Store: Handles app distribution and subscriptions for iOS.
• Huawei AppGallery: Handles app distribution for Huawei devices.

These platforms have their own privacy policies governing purchase transactions and app analytics.

5.2 Crash Reporting (Optional)

We may use anonymized crash reporting to improve app stability. Crash reports contain:

• Device model and OS version
• App version
• Stack trace (technical error information)

Crash reports do NOT include any personal data such as your birthday or calendar contents.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your personal information:

• Access: View your stored birthday and preferences in the App's Settings.
• Correction: Update your birthday or preferences at any time.
• Local Deletion: Clear your birthday in Settings → Birth Rhythm. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data from your device.
• Data Deletion Request: To request the deletion of any anonymized data associated with your device (such as your Machine ID records for Pro features) from our servers, please contact us at support@luckyschedule.com. We will process and fulfill your request within 48 hours.
• Revoke Permissions: Disable calendar or location access through your device's system settings.
• Opt-Out of Notifications: Disable all notifications in Settings → Energy Reminders.

7. Children's Privacy

Lucky Schedule is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App may be used by individuals of any age for entertainment and planning purposes, but parents or guardians should supervise usage by minors.

8. Data Retention

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device:

• Data is retained as long as the App is installed on your device.
• Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all App-related data from your device.
• Calendar events created through the App remain in your device's native calendar until you delete them.

9. International Users

Lucky Schedule is available worldwide. Since personal data is stored locally on your device, there are no cross-border data transfers of your personal information. API requests to fetch Huangli data may be processed by servers located in China, but these requests do not contain personal identifiers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we make significant changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
• For material changes, we may provide additional notice within the App.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
